Join our culinary staff to coordinate organization, planning, and quality control in the bake/pastry shop.

Assist in planning and developing menus while ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of all food items. Control labor and operating expenses through effective purchasing and inventory decisions. Maintain sanitation standards set by Four Seasons and regulations, alongside kitchen cleanliness and organization.

Communicate with employees and managers to meet operational needs and foster interdepartmental cooperation. Work harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors while inspiring and motivating team members through team-building activities. Demonstrate floor presence to develop the pastry team and contribute to operational success.

Conduct frequent quality checks to uphold food standards and type recipes, cost them, and create efficient spreadsheets. Work across different shifts and pastry kitchen areas to fulfill business needs. Acquire knowledge to meet role expectations and grow within the organization.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of culinary experience with 1 year of supervisory experience in a pastry kitchen
  • Passion for pastry
  • Creative and innovative
  • Ability to coordinate organization, planning, and quality control of pastry products
  • Thorough knowledge of pastry production techniques and presentation standards
  • Experience in high-volume luxury resort kitchens
  • Proficiency in recipe costing, inventory management, and spreadsheet creation

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and development of menus for the hotel and ensure correct preparation and presentation of consistent food items
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective organization, purchasing decisions, and inventory control
  • Ensure sanitation standards as set by Four Seasons, local, state, and federal regulations are in compliance along with kitchen cleanliness
  • Communicate with employees and managers to meet operational needs and attend meetings for departmental coordination
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • Type recipes, cost them, make pick up charts, and create spreadsheets to make work efficient
  • Ensure food quality by inspecting and conducting frequent quality checks
  • Inspire and motivate team members, conduct team-building activities, and provide floor presence to develop the pastry team
