Puff 'n Stuff Catering has been Central Florida's premier full-service, off-site catering and events company since 1980. It is now one of the largest of its kind in Florida, serving the Orlando and Tampa areas. Now hiring part-time Event Chefs for catered events all over Central Florida and Tampa.

Work a flexible schedule based on your availability for off-site events of various sizes. Prepare meals using techniques like grilling, roasting, and baking for fish, steak, poultry, and pork. Execute batch and quantity cooking with proper heating, holding, and plating.

Interact with guests at chef-attended buffet stations and provide top-level customer service. Be prepared for indoor or outdoor settings and any weather conditions. Each shift begins with unloading equipment and ends with re-loading, requiring ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Qualifications include HACCP understanding and ServSafe certification. Reliable transportation is needed for locations throughout Central Florida or Tampa. Work in a non-smoking environment with varying shifts including holidays, weekdays, weekends, and extended hours.

Requirements

  • Familiar with all cooking techniques including grilling, roasting and baking for fish, steak, poultry and pork
  • Familiar with batch, quantity cooking, and proper heating, holding and plating techniques
  • Familiar with plated and buffet presentations
  • Able to regularly lift, move, and carry up to 50lbs
  • Reliable transportation to and from locations throughout Central Florida or Tampa
  • HACCP understanding
  • ServSafe certified

Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals for off-site catered events of various sizes
  • Interact with guests at chef-attended buffet stations
  • Provide top-level customer service when serving guests
  • Unload necessary equipment at the start of each shift
  • Reload equipment at the end of each shift
  • Apply grilling, roasting, and baking techniques for fish, steak, poultry, and pork
  • Execute batch and quantity cooking with proper heating, holding, and plating
