As Banquet Sous Chef, you’ll support the Banquet Chef in overseeing banquet kitchen operations.

In this role, you’ll assist in the preparation of food items for all Banquet meals, hiring, training, scheduling, and directing the banquet culinary staff. You’ll visually inspect all food products to ensure they meet quality standards set by departmental and resort management. You’ll ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the kitchen and storage areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting banquet chef in high-volume kitchen operations
  • Proficiency in planning and executing banquet menus
  • Skills in hiring, training, and directing culinary staff
  • Expertise in food quality inspection and portion control
  • Knowledge of food cost monitoring and waste reduction
  • Understanding of kitchen sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to manage large-scale event food production

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Banquet Chef in overseeing the banquet kitchen operation
