About this role
Cook II are responsible for the preparation of all food items as per standardized recipes. This role supports dining services in a health center setting focused on quality meals. Reliability and adherence to safety procedures are essential.
Plan and organize work to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards accurately. Operate kitchen equipment with knowledge of maintenance needs. Apply some knowledge of nutrition and diet in food preparation tasks.

Requirements
- Minimum of two years' experience as cook in a hotel, restaurant, retirement community or similar institution
- Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- Some knowledge of nutrition and diet
- Culinary education preferred
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable with adherence to safety procedures
