About this role
Sodexo has an opportunity for a Pastry Sous Chef to support a High-End Corporate Client that is rapidly growing. This role focuses on creating and baking a variety of desserts and pastries, developing new recipes, and ensuring high-quality presentation. It also includes leading hands-on pastry classes, hosting seasonal pop-ups, and designing pastries for catering events.
Prepare and bake a wide range of desserts, pastries, and baked goods using traditional and modern recipes. Innovate and develop new recipes to enhance the menu and engage customers. Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure they are visually appealing and meet quality standards.
Lead hands-on Chef Test Kitchen classes showing guests how to make specific pastry items. Host onsite pop-ups to showcase seasonal items and interact with guests. Design and create pastries for catering events highlighting specific regions or seasons.

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as Pastry Chef for high volume dining and high end catering
- Strong leadership ability and successful supervisory background
- Proven culinary knowledge including purchasing, inventory, production schedules and cost controls
- Passion for food and innovation
- Ability to think out of the box
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years management experience
- Minimum 2 years functional experience in food or culinary services
