We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. This essential role ensures the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to positive dining experiences.

The Kitchen Porter supports kitchen staff by handling tasks that keep the culinary area organized and clean. Duties include maintaining cleanliness in kitchen, dining areas, and restrooms through daily cleaning. You will assist with food preparation like washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.

In a fast-paced environment, you will wash and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishware, and utensils to comply with health and safety regulations. Help manage inventory by organizing supplies and reporting low stock to management. Ensure a steady flow of clean dishes and utensils during meal service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or portering role is an asset, but not mandatory
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving equipment
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Familiarity with kitchen safety and sanitation practices
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Positive attitude and readiness to assist wherever needed in the kitchen
