Maintain kitchen areas by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment while keeping work surfaces, floors, and spaces sanitised. Assist with basic food preparation, collect and dispose of waste following hygiene procedures, and support chefs with clean workspaces. Unload deliveries and ensure proper stock rotation as needed.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen porter or similar role is an advantage but not essential
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Good teamwork skills with a positive and proactive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high hygiene standards
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (training will be provided)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Ensure all work surfaces, floors, and kitchen areas are kept clean and sanitised
- Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation as required
- Collect and dispose of waste responsibly, following the hotel’s hygiene and safety procedures
- Assist with unloading and storing deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation
- Support the chefs and kitchen staff by ensuring they have clean equipment and workspaces
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Perform any additional duties as required by the Head Chef
