About this role

Join Accor as a Pastry Chef to ensure guests are satisfied with food production and presentation. Maintain production and quality complying with cost control and hygiene rules. Produce food according to standard recipes for consistent portion size, taste, and quality.

Assist the Chef de Partie in monitoring kitchen personnel, instructing them, and addressing issues. Test taste, appearance, and food safety compliance of items in your section, informing supervisors of problems. Prepare all daily menu items with utmost attention to planned portion quantities.

Prepare ingredients accurately and on time, storing food correctly at the workstation. Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and health conditions in the kitchen. Follow standards where all chefs must have short, well-maintained hair with no moustaches or beards.

Requirements

  • At least primary school diploma
  • At least 5 years of practical experience
  • Prior attendance in trainings in the related field
  • Good command of products and cooking techniques in pastry department
  • Ability to use complex equipment and devices in the field
  • Technical knowledge and work experience in pastry methods, techniques, and processes

Responsibilities

  • Ensure guests are satisfied with the production and presentation of food
  • Ensure production and quality of food comply with cost control and hygiene rules
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in monitoring kitchen personnel and developing training programs
  • Test taste, appearance, and food safety compliance of items in section
  • Prepare all food items listed on the daily menu according to standards
  • Pay utmost attention to planned portion quantities and accurate ingredient preparation
  • Store food at the workstation in the correct manner
  • Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and keep records for food safety management system
