We are hiring a Pastry Chef / Pastry A, B for MAKRIS Restaurant at Domes Miramare Corfu, an ultimate luxury 5* resort experience. The role involves personally performing creative baking and decorating tasks while leading staff to prepare quality pastries.

Exhibit talents by leading the team in consistent pastry preparation for all areas, improving guest and employee satisfaction. Maintain the operating budget while ensuring sanitation and food standards are achieved. Continually develop and train the team to elevate results and uphold high standards.

Work enthusiastically as a member of our busy kitchen team at MAKRIS Restaurant. Undertake training and development from talented, Michelin Starred Chef Patron Petros Dimas. Operate the Pastry section to a high standard in a progressive and innovative environment.

Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years of experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area, preferably in 5* resorts
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and cope with pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Hands-on, proactive approach, taking personal responsibility and initiative to prevent or resolve problems

Responsibilities

  • Lead staff in preparing quality and consistent pastries for all areas
  • Personally perform creative baking and decorating tasks
  • Work enthusiastically as a member of the busy kitchen team
  • Undertake training and development from Michelin Starred Chef Patron Petros Dimas
  • Operate the Pastry section to a high standard
  • Maintain fridges and food storage areas, monitoring and recording temperatures
  • Cook and plate food according to agreed recipes and mise en place standards
  • Set up and break down workstation, washing and disinfecting kitchen area, tools, knives, and equipment
