Join a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment where you’ll build hands-on skills in food preparation, plating, and kitchen operations. Working with our Chef Manager and Hotel Services Team, you’ll help deliver high-quality meals that make a real difference in residents’ daily lives.

Assist with food prep, plating, and meal service while supporting dietary needs like texture-modified and allergen-aware meals. Maintain high standards of kitchen and dining cleanliness, and set up and reset dining rooms and equipment for each service. Follow food safety and WHS procedures throughout all tasks.

This physical and fast-paced role involves a lot of variety, including bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing items safely without risk to yourself, colleagues, or residents. Work as part of a supportive, fast-moving team in residential aged care. Thrive in a busy kitchen environment with reliable availability for a variety of shifts.

Requirements

  • Hospitality or commercial kitchen experience or a strong interest in developing these skills
  • Students completing or planning Commercial Cookery studies to build practical hands-on skills
  • Strong communication, initiative, and attention to detail skills
  • Reliable, adaptable team players who thrive in a busy kitchen environment
  • Availability to support a variety of shifts
  • Physically capable of bending, squatting, lifting, and pushing without risk of injury
  • Hold a current NDIS clearance or happy to apply
